Clear Core is managed by a dedicated, all-volunteer Board of Directors. Our members are highly motivated, talented and respected citizens with direct links to the community. Most are retired educators with many years of professional experiences. All members have a long list of community involvement activities as well as rich and varied careers. With extraordinary dedication to expanding CLEAR Core’s presence and role in Lafayette County, the organization is well positioned to manage its current and future giving.
Mississippi is one of the poorest states in the nation. Oxford is a college town with many neighboring communities located in Lafayette County about 150 miles north of Jackson. The 2010 census listed the population of Lafayette County just under 48,000 people. Economically, 26% of the population lives below the poverty level. CLEAR Core believes that the key in breaking the cycle of poverty, in this generation, is to educate the youth. While tremendous progress in education has been made, we have a long way to go and no time to waste. Increasing the median income, home ownership, educational opportunities and other significant economic measures in Lafayette County are primary goals of CLEAR Core, Inc.
To expand its scholastic giving and other philanthropic work, CLEAR Core actively seeks new sources of funding through various fundraising activities. Additionally, CLEAR Core plans to collaborate with community partners to create opportunities for youth development.
