Who Is Eligible?
Any Lafayette County resident is eligible to apply if you are a graduating high school senior who is a legal U.S. resident and has attended either Lafayette High or Oxford High School since the first semester of your junior year and will graduate in the spring of your senior year. Applicant must enroll in a full-time course of study at an accredited two or four-year college or university in the U.S. If a recipient does not graduate from high school, drops out of high school, or does not enroll in an accredited institution, the scholarship will be forfeited. The Scholarship Committee should be notified if the recipient transfers to another institution. Scholarships will not be awarded in the event there are no qualified applicants. Eligibility criteria are subject to change without notice. Siblings of current CLEAR Core Scholars, are not eligible to apply.
When and Where Do I Apply?
The CLEAR Core, Inc. Academic Scholarship is open to students attending Lafayette County
and Oxford High Schools in Lafayette County, MS. Students may apply for the CLEAR Core,
Inc. Academic Scholarship during the second semester of their senior year of high school. The
application link is located at the bottom of this page. Please submit the application no later than
11:59 p.m. CST on March 1, 2024. Late or paper applications will not be considered.

Transcripts and Letters of Recommendation should be mailed and postmarked no later than

How Do I Apply?
To be considered for the CLEAR Core Academic Scholarship, you must submit all of the following information:
1) Complete and mail the enclosed application with your current photo, high school transcript, and essay to the
Scholarship Committee (see address above).
2) Request a teacher from your junior or senior year to write a letter of recommendation. Provide a stamped envelope for your teacher’s convenience addressed to the Scholarship Committee.
Please be sure to answer each question on the application form completely. Take special care to include all information about yourself that you consider to be important.
