CLEAR Core, Inc. is dedicated to charitable, educational, and scientific initiatives that create lasting opportunities for youth and senior citizens in Lafayette County, Mississippi. Our primary focus is on higher education support, enrichment programs, and essential community services that uplift and empower future generations.
Our Story: A Vision for Education
In May 1997, a group of concerned citizens in Taylor, MS, came together with a common goal—to increase the number of local students entering colleges and universities. They saw firsthand that many promising students lacked the financial resources and encouragement needed to pursue higher education.
From that vision, the CLEAR Core Scholarship was born. Originally known as the Lafayette County Academic Scholarship (LCAS), this program was established in memory of former Lafayette County trustees. These leaders, despite limited formal education themselves, were visionaries who dedicated their time and resources to educating the children of their communities. Their legacy laid the foundation upon which CLEAR Core continues to build, ensuring that financial barriers do not stand in the way of a student’s future.
Each year, we honor that commitment by awarding scholarships to deserving students who exemplify the promise and potential of our community.
